First tools presented: Technical & Plenary Meeting in Karlsruhe

On 3 December, our technical partners met at Fraunhofer IOSB in Karlsruhe (Germany) to discuss the current state of the tools developed for FALCON. Subsequently, all partners gathered for a plenary meeting from 4 to 5 December, including a hands-on session in which the end user partners could test the tools and functionalities.

The first steps towards practice become visible in our project. The results from our social science partners (Work package 2, “Mapping the Landscape of Corruption”) will soon be condensed into an initial policy brief and are also being incorporated into our first FALCON anti-corruption training courses.

At this plenary meeting, the technical partners ICCS, CERTH, Space Hellas, Engineering, Vicomtech, and BPTI presented their developed tools to all partners for the first time. After clarifying open technical questions at the technical meeting on 3 December, e.g. how certain types of data can be integrated into the tools, they gathered feedback on the tools from the end user partners at the plenary.

Why are you part of FALCON? – Statements from our partners

We also took the opportunity of the meeting to collect a few video statements from our partners about why it is worthwhile for them to be part of FALCON. You can find these statements on X where we posted them on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December. For more information see also the previous news article on our website.

Outlook: First pilot in January

Based on the feedback from the plenary meeting, our first pilot is in the making. On 29 January our LEA partners can test the FALCON tools again – this time with given scenarios and some concrete activities that need to be accomplished by the LEAs during the test.
