“A success story” — FALCON receives encouraging feedback at final project review

FALCON presented the results of three years of joint work at its final project review, held online on 19 October 2026.

The review opened with an overview of the project’s development and its main achievements. The consortium then presented FALCON’s contribution to EU policy with its policy briefs, as well as the results of the individual work packages, including a demonstration of the tools developed within the project.

The reviewers’ initial response was highly encouraging. Following the presentation of the project’s achievements, they highlighted both the scale of the work completed and the results delivered over the past three years. There was clear agreement among the reviewers on the scale of FALCON’s achievements: “The numbers are impressive.”

The Project Officer described FALCON as “a success story” and concluded:

“We are very happy with what you have done. A big thank you to the team. […] Congratulations, great work.”

FALCON combined research, technological development and practical validation across four corruption domains. Over three iterative pilot cycles, the consortium developed and tested tools for risk assessment, data analysis and investigative support. The project also translated its findings into policy recommendations, training activities and pathways for continued use after the end of the project.

While the consortium is still awaiting the official written review report, this initial feedback is an important recognition of the work carried out throughout FALCON.

We sincerely thank all FALCON partners and stakeholders for their dedication, expertise and collaboration over the past three years. Although the project has formally ended, its legacy continues through the knowledge, tools, capabilities and collaborations created throughout the project.
